Dance Extravaganza

Moneyreagh Community Centre played host to Castlereagh's dance festival, celebrating dance groups from all over the Borough and beyond.  The event was opened with 'ArtsEkta', who treated the audience to a Bollywood ensemble piece.  Other groups on display were 'Bright Lights and Johnson's school' who performed Highland Dance.  'Trim the Velvet' performed Irish dancing while 'Fresh and Fly' offered a more contemporary slant with their 'pirate' dance.  'Kaleidoscope' dance company's 'Puppet on a string' tickled many of the audience members, and the ballet performance from the 'Michelle Bertanito ballet school' was both skillful and elegant.  Several technical hitches with music didn't break up the flow too significantly, and the feedback from the audience was very positive.
